Adele Myers and Dancers: The Company

	Photo: Joshua South	Adele Myers, ARTISTIC DIRECTOR/PERFORMER Myers founded her company, Adele Myers and Dancers in 2000. Her choreography has been presented throughout the United States including Seattle’s Velocity Dance Center; Jacob’s Pillow Inside/Out; the Tanglewood Music Center, and more recently at the Dance New Amsterdam Theater in New York City. As a performer, Myers was a member of the Joy Kellman/Co. in NYC for six years and a guest artist with other companies including Momix. Commercial credits include choreographing a record release event for Aerosmith and industrials for TV Guide, among others. She also danced in a Ricky Martin video and more recently in Romance and Cigarettes directed by John Turturro. Prior to joining the esteemed Connecticut College Dance department faculty in 2006, Myers earned a BA from Sarah Lawrence College, an MFA at Florida State University, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Performance Studies at New York University. 	Photo: Joshua South	Tara Burns, performer Tara graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Florida with a BFA in Dance. She also received an MA in Digital Performance from Hull University's Doncaster College, UK. While in England, she performed with Palindrome Inter.media Dance Group and Kathinka Walter throughout the UK and Germany. In 2006, Tara joined Adele Myers and Dancers as a dancer and shortly after became the company manager. In addition to performing, Tara is a freelance graphic/web designer and company manager for Alexandra Beller/Dances. 	Photo: Joshua South	Diana Deaver, performer Diana Deaver is a founding member of Adele Myers and Dancers. In New York, she has performed with the Sean Curran Company, Parsons Dance Company, Dance Council Movement Theatre, and at City Center's, Fall for Dance, with Charles Moulton. Diana is currently in her fourth season dancing with the New York City Opera. She is a certified Core Fusion instructor at the esteemed Exhale Spa in New York City. Diana graduated with honors from Florida State University.
		Philip Montana, performer Philip Montana, originally from New York, received his BFA from the University of Florida in dance performance and his MFA in dance from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. He has worked with Tatiana Bagonova, Michael Foley and Shapiro & Smith Dance. He joined Shen Wei Dance Arts in Fall '06. His own works have been presented at WAX, Pier 63 and Galapagos Art Space.
	Photo: Joshua South	Jessica Patz, performer Jessica Patz is a founding member of Adele Myers and Dancers. She began training in Florida with Mia Michaels and attended New World School of the Arts High School. Jessica graduated in three years magna cum laude from Florida State University with a BFA in Dance and subsequently joined the Cynthia Gonzalez dance company in Dresden, Germany. Jessica is currently dancing with the Big Apple Lindy Hoppers under the direction of Laura Jeffers. She has been fortunate to train and work with Frankie Manning, Daniel Lewis, Gerri Houlihan, Suzanne Ferrell, Jawole Zollar, Bill Kline, and Paul Grecki among others.
	Photo: Joshua South	Rebecca Woods , performer Rebecca received her training from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, and Marymount Manhattan College where she graduated with a degree in Dance and Communications. She has performed with the Juilliard Opera Company, LKB Dance, Chasla, Stephen Kloplowitz, Ali kenner dance, Sara Joel, and Eidolon Ballet in Concert. Rebecca teaches Kundalini yoga. She is on faculty at Ballet Academy East, Normandy court, and runs her own yoga studio Asian Fusion Studios.
	Jim French, lighting design Jim French has collaborated with Adele Myers and Dancers since 2003. Other lighting designs for dance include; Cedar Lake, Twyla Tharp Dance, Richmond Ballet, Jennifer Muller/The Works, Chet Walker/8&ah1, Chitresh Das, Garbielle Lansner, Erica Dankmeyer, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, Treehouse Shakers, Allen Body Group, and HunterDanceTheatre. Jim has toured the US, Europe, Asia, and South America as lighting supervisor for the companies of Martha Graham, Pascal Rioult, Twyla Tharp, and Elisa Monte. www.lightdesign.org Kyle Olson, composer Growing up in a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota, drummer and composer Kyle Olson was exposed to the “Mini-Apple’s” tightly knit experimental music scene. Although his main focus is in jazz, the creative climate of Minneapolis encouraged his exploration of other musical forms such as improvised, electronic, and minimalist music. This mix proved a solid cornerstone for his career in dance accompaniment and composition. He is currently accompanying dance classes at Connecticut College, NYU and other places in Manhattan where he lives.
