Is That All There Is (2006) Is That All There Is is a half-evening length satirical group work exposing the underbelly of modern motherhood. Accompanied by popular iconic songs of Dolly Parton and Peggy Lee among others, the dancers go to emotional and physical extremes in this humorous and at times unsettling narrative.
The quintet was originally produced in 2007 by Dance New Amsterdam’s Splice series in NYC. The (ten-minute) duet version of Is That All There Is has been presented throughout the United States since 2005 including Seattle’s Velocity’s Dance Center and more recently at the Franco-American Heritage Center in Lewiston, Maine. Length: approx. 30 minutes |

7/10-7/29, 9/5-12/9, to be cont... (2006) Sleek and elegant, this ensemble work is stripped of narrative but riddled with brief encounters and glimpses of individuals among the group. Mikhail Kaschok compliments the simultaneously energetic and dreamlike environment with an original score.
This project was originally commissioned for the Strictly Seattle Dance Festival in 2006. 7/10-7/29 indicates the first day of rehearsal through the final performance in Seattle.
9/5-12/9 reflects the same artistic process with a different cast at Connecticut College in 2007. With each additional cast new dates will be added to the title as an ode to the ongoing and collaborative nature of the choreographic process. Length: approx. 13 minutes |

Ze Moxy Baloop was originally commissioned by the University of Florida/Mod Project and has also been presented by DanceNow and the 2007 New Haven Festival of Arts and Ideas. Length: approx. 15 minutes |

what we have is half of what we wish for...(2008) With generous support from the LEF Foundation, Adele Myers and Dancers is developing an evening-length work that explores the harmonies and collisions of the world around us and the world we wish for. Themes include the impact of technology on proximities of human interaction. In collaboration with video-artist Tara Burns and composer, Kyle Olson, the company will premiere the half-evening length version of the work at Joyce SoHo July 24-26, 2008. “Myers’ what we have is have of what we wish for… is a fascinating modernist breakdown of a hectic society (with) a wondrous sound collage by Kyle Olson.” -- Chris Arnott, New Haven Advocate Length: approx. 25 minutes |
